So I'd like to start blogging so that family and friends are able to keep up with us, since I am horrible about getting on the phone.
So this weekend, Michael went to his first carnival. It was Lindbergh Spirit Fest, luckily, Grandpa Kienzle is very involved in the planning of this huge event, so we were able to take him for free. He had a fantastic time on the rides, and eating pepper bellies. We were joined by his cousins, Ben and Charlie, Grandma Kienzle, and Aunt Beth. It was a beautiful day, and we all had a great time watching the three boys run around.

We recently took a trip to Chicago, and stopped at the Shedd Aquarium. (My favorite place in the city.) We had a wonderful time, but unfortunately the camera battery died early, so we don't have many pictures. Michael loved seeing everything in the aquarium, especially the Jelly Fish exhibit.

A couple weeks ago, Geoff, Eddie, and I went to the Jimmy Buffet concert. We had a fantastic time. It's great, because everyone gets there as soon as the parking lot opens, and tail gates. Everyone is dressed in ridiculous Hawaiian outfits, and is drinking margaritas all day. Eddie had the idea to get a portable toilet so we weren't waiting in line all day, I have to say, I thought the idea was repulsive and not necessary, but he was right, it was an amazing thing to have. We were playing Catch Phrase, drinking, and having a great time, when the people across the way from us came over, offered us tequila shots, cheeseburger cookies, and ownership of their tiki bar (after the event) if they could use our toilet. One of the women happens to work with my boss, so that was pretty neat, such a small world.
Brian and Valerie are going to be Mr. and Mrs. Menzer in September of 2012, and I could not be happier for them. Brian has been my friend since the summer of 2005, and I could not ask for someone more loyal. He has helped me figure out who I am, he has been my cheerleader, confidant, and fantastically hilarious drinking partner. Valerie and I have known each other since November of 2006, and she is my soul mate. She is the most incredible listener, wonderful advice giver, a sassy little diva, and a connoisseur of teas. ;) Bottom line, these are 2 of my favorite people in the entire world, and I cannot wait to share in their special day!
Awwwwwwwwww....... yay! I love you! The things you said made me cry. This weekend has been such a emotional one, I have been crying all weekend! BTW love the connoisseur of tea part! Love the blog love, keep up the good work!
